Today, Friday 15.07 Full moon , was my conference at the Expo Amazonica 2011. There I could manifest the beginning of my culinary research through natural medicine in San Martin and Loreto.
Besides its proved and used since ancient world’s traditional medicine like de Indian, Chinese, Greek and Andean-Amazonian, I completely believe in it: food is medicine and natural medicine is also food.
I am moved by nurturing Body. Mind and Spirit, rather tan just satisfying our palate.
I am moved by the connections given among humans and rest of living beings through harvesting, cooking, eating, healing, sharing.
I t encourages me to not only continue researching new aromas and flavors, rather also discover more and more the natural Peruvian medicine, inform about it and encourage the use of these resources in a sustainable and responsible way inside and outside its natural habitat . Its sad to see how some local communities are losing the connection and use of this “natural home pharmacy”. In some cases is not longer grown the basic ones in their vegetable gardens for personal needs.
My dream is to promote and encourage mothers to continue with this tradition and pass it on to their children. As well with the intention to support the continuance of the peruvian traditional healers, to persist in their great commitment to heal.
Peru is a country rich in biodiversity and a great percentage is found in our Amazon.
The return to nature not only heals and revitalizes us but also opens our mind and heart to diversity and connection with all and everything

The Mutual Raise Between Humans and Nature
“The agriculture didn’t appear to oppose the forest, the sacha, but to coexist with it . Therefore la chacra (the vegetable garden and orchard) it’s a craft that recreates limitless the forest architecture. Life such as was created and developed not only in the forest but also in the chacra and cities. Although Life’s root still belongs to the forest. And it is from this that the native people regenerates their particular cosmovision by returning to it”
“In the high Amazon, it is known as cultivating and raising as synonyms . Its common to hear: Im raising this plant, meaning cultivating, growing, protecting. As a relation based on care, empathy and consideration to a living being that needs care to flourish.
